We’re excited to announce a brand new performance series beginning this year entitled “Ear To The Ground!” The series is designed to highlight local artists by staging performances in public spaces near the neighborhoods those artists call home. The intent is to strengthen bonds between the performance community and the community at large to both showcase Miami’s unparalleled talent and introduce community members to artists in their own backyard (literally). Awesome, right?!
In true Buskerfest Miami style, spectators will be able to do more than just catch a show. For each performance, volunteers will be distributing special collectible stickers to attendees. Folks who collect the whole set will be eligible for prizes such as tickets to other performing arts venues around town, Buskerfest swag and other goodies. Also, snap a picture of the performers and post to social media with the hashtags #EarToTheGround and #BuskerfestMiami. The best entries will be eligible to win cool prizes at the end of the series.
Here’s the catch. We will tell you the date and the time of each performance. It’s up to you to stay tuned to social media for clues about the exact performance location. It’s like a musical-acrobatic-theatrical-comedic scavenger hunt!
