Alex Villar is a blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist from Miami, FL.
Villar wrote a collection of songs in early 2015 inspired by a major life event. With influences that range from blues greats like Lightnin’ Hopkins, Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughn, to 90’s rock and grunge artists like Jeff Buckley and Smashing Pumkins, Villlar expresses a unique and refreshing perspective in his songwriting and vocal style.
Villar performs solo acoustic shows, and early in 2015 started performing around south Florida as a blues rock trio. A sound and style that has been described as, “soulful,” “raw,” “sexy,” and “authentic,” Villar lures audiences with a big, captivating voice, and irresistible melodies.
