Today is a great day! The Buskerfest Miami team is overjoyed to announce the official date of Buskerfest Miami 2014 – December 12th, 2014. This year will feature many new elements including a more diverse group of performers (and more of them), extensive partnerships with local businesses and community organizations and expansion of the free raffle program from last year.
Much of what made the 2013 festival so great is returning – the passport program, which allows attendees to track their travels, the artists they encounter, vote for their favorite acts of the night and enter a prize raffle is back, as is our utilization of the Metromover’s Inner Loop stations. The Metromover provides a safe, convenient and quick way to jump from performer to performer and explore the surrounding neighborhood and businesses joining the party. Performer registration is now open (via a simple form on this site) and we encourage any new or emerging performers to throw their hat in the ring.
More information is coming as we work out the finer points of the festival, but one thing is clear: our Miami community loves street performance and demands more of it. We thank you for your continued support and we promise to continue our efforts to make public performance in Miami an everyday thing.
