Happy Friday Buskerfest Fam!

We thought we’d give you yet another opinion on what to do in the next several days, since the one thing the world needs now is love swee… I mean, more opinions. We are not authorities on the matter, we just like the following concepts and people involved in these happening happenings:

Saturday, October 15

Mooncake Jam w/ Afrobeta, 5 – 10pm

Those crazy kids, Tony and Cuci of Afrobeta, are throwing another wonderful party this Saturday at the North Miami Beach Bandshell. But hold the phone, not only will Afrobeta give us their electronic delights, but The Galactic Effect, The State Of, Dutch Hippies, Raffa Jo Harris, Skinny Hendrix and Laura (of Miami) will bless our ears with their own unique creations. There’s also food and local vendors (what event is complete without them these days?) and the total expense for this one-of-a-kind shindig is FREE.

OK, this one isn’t FREE exactly, but the caliber of the players is worth the $$$. Watch roastmaster Billy Corben (of Cocaine Cowboys and The U fame) and other prominent comedians grill local politicians including Commissioner Ken Russell, mayoral candidate Raquel Regalado, House rep Jose Felix Diaz and Senate candidate Jose Javier Rodriguez. Produced by those crazy kids at Comic Cure, The Plantain and The New Tropic. It’s almost too much for 90 minutes. Let’s see how they fit it all in…

Enjoy the shows folks, we’ll see you again next week!

Love,

The Buskerfest Team
