The weekend is nigh and we’re taking a short break from reviewing Buskerfest Miami 2016 performer applications (good grief – the talent pool is DEEP this year!) to share some events worth your time and in some cases, dollars. BTW, be sure to RSVP for Buskerfest on Facebook to stay up-to-speed on the artists performing, raffle prizes and passport discounts. Without further ado:

Friday, November 11

VetFest 20165pm-3am at Mana Wynwood

14615675_1783887791829338_2126438780814541255_o

A FREE (at least if you RSVP in the next few hours) show with a (nearly) all local lineup including JUke, SunGhosts, Otto Shirach and Chantil Dukart. Brought to you by the same folks that produce Grovetoberfest and the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival. Celebrate Veterans day with some music veterans of the MIA.

Saturday, November 12

Chipotle Cultivate Festival, 11am – 7pm

This one kind of came out of nowhere, but it’s FREE and we love Bayfront Park, which has been our home for the past three years. Enjoy tunes from nationally touring acts Capital Cities, St. Lucia, Clean Bandit and more. You can also look forward to cooking demos with Miami’s chef glitterati like Michelle Bernstein and Michael Schwartz. But wait, there’s more! Perhaps the biggest Florida craft beer roundup we’ve seen (too many names to list here). The word to some up these offerings: YUM.

Little River Night of Light, 5pm-5am

14500521_1786337434941514_8176271546360230486_o

The folks from Superfine have organized another gallery crawl through Little River, Little Haiti, MIMO and beyond! Check out galleries like the new Rojas + Rubenstein Projects, Fountainhead Studios, Yo Space and the Moskha Family Arts Collective. Expect some surprises, interesting artists and a night that doesn’t have to end. Unless you’re old and tired :-P.

Sunday, November 13 – November 19

Jack Daniels General Store in Wynwood

fullsizerender-20160920100054409

That Gentleman, Jack Daniels, is coming to 2600 NW 2nd Ave for one week only and the organizers intend to make quite a splash in Wyn-hood. Each day features unique surprises, including buskers! We were happy to connect the JD crew with Buskerfest alums Bad Apples Brass Band, the RXNBaby Bear Lo-Fi, and the Damian J Project who will be lighting up the exterior of the shop throughout next week, from 1-5pm each day. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

That’s all for now. Keep it tuned here and on social for some exciting upcoming announcements for Buskerfest Miami 2016 on December 9!

Much Love,

The Buskerfest Miami Team
