It’s March already? When did that happen? Even though it feels like summer outside and we are getting a ridic amount of abnormal rain, Miami has more fun than you can handle. We won’t stop; can’t stop. The weekend cometh and here’s what thou shalt get down to.

Friday, March 3

YardFest, March 3-5, Wynwood Yard

You know we love a good fest. Our friends at Wynwood Yard have put together a weekend with something for everybody. Friday kicks off with food sampling from the Yard’s vendors and performance by the revamped Suénalo. Tuesday includes a craft fair and performance by Orlando funk masters, The Legendary JC’s and Sunday has HOURS of tasty reggae. Do yu ting bredren!

Saturday, March 4

Miami Film Festival, March 3-12

It’s unseasonably hot, so why not take advantage of the plethora of screenings, events and master classes presented by the Miami Film Festival. The schedule is YUGE, but we suggest checking out Cinemaslam, a program which aims to discover, showcase, and celebrate the work of undergraduate and graduate students in Miami/South Florida film schools. In the film biz? Check out the masterclass on Producing In Florida and Beyond with veterans of Miami’s film and TV production community. The world is your cinematic oyster.

Sunday, March 5

305 Day Block Party, 2-8pm in the Leah Arts District

305, 3:05, $3.05, Three-Oh-Five – no matter the context, “305” is our number. It’s as intimately connected to our identity as palm trees and beach parties. The folks from Leah Arts District have declared March 5th “305 Day” – a day celebrating all of Miami’s idiosyncrasies like cafecito, pastelitos and Otto Von Shirach. This event has all the prerequisites for a great time: drinks, food, live music, DJs, live painting etc. Get lost in the magic of the Bermuda Triangle. Viva Hialeah!

Be calm and weekend on. Stay sweaty, my friends.

Much Love,

The Buskerfest Team
