It’s that time of year when nothing can stop the pit sweats. Embrace it, it’s going to rain sooner or later and then no one will be able to tell why you are wet. As we head into the second half of Summer, we can look forward to solar eclipses, BBQs and apparently, more events than ever before. July is usually sleepy in Miami, but this weekend has plenty of fun getdowns to take part in:

Friday, July 21

JUke Live Album Recording, Wynwood Yard, 8pm

Ya boys, JUke, have decided to record a live album and video and YOU are invited. These blues and booze soaked songsters are a facet of the Miami live music scene. Saunter on down to the Yard for (FREE) good times and (reasonably priced) eats from the many food trucks on site. Don’t forget ya dancing shoes.

The Imperial Dome Open Mic, Mana Dome, 9pm

Our friends from The Imperial are taking their talents to Wynwood for a unique night under the Mana Dome. This strange structure can barely contain the lineup that’s on deck. Aja-Monet, Marcus Blake and Punch3nello are just a few of the performers. Entry is a meager $12 in advance through eventbrite. Don’t get stuck paying the full $15 at the door!

Saturday, July 22

Subtropics 24 Summer Festival 2017, ArtCenter South Florida, 5pm

Subtropics is an annual celebration of sonic exploration. If you find yourself strolling down Lincoln Road Saturday, pop in to ArtCenter for a daylong marathon of performances from dozens of Miami mad sound scientists. A full list of the performers and pieces is here. It’s free and a good place to get lost for a while.

Sunday, July 23

Indie Craft Bazaar: Art & Handmade Festival, Revolution Live, 12-5pm

Everyone’s favorite, giant craft fair is back in Ft. Lauderdale. Indie Craft Bazaar is a one day only, independent art and handmade festival. It features over 65 artists, crafters, designers, and makers, plus: DIY acitivties, food, drink specials, and giveaways. Find your treasure and support local makers. $5 Admission / Complimentary Parking Lot for customers (Limited spaces, carpooling encouraged!). Kids 10 & under are free.

Whatever your poison, we’ve got you covered this weekend. Get out and about and enjoy this godawful heat while it lasts.

Much Love,

The Buskerfest Team
