Friday, January 6
Biscayne Green Grand Opening Get Down, 7-11pm
Our friends from the Miami Downtown Development Authority are putting Biscayne Blvd. on a diet. With the reclaimed real estate, they are installing a temporary park through January 26. It’s a glimpse of what could be if the Blvd. were more pedestrian focused and we love it! Tonight is the grand opening which includes a set by Miami stalwarts Elastic Bond and Loco por Juanas. Do it – and take Miami-Dade Transit to get there.
Saturday, January 7
WALLCAST Encore Series, 7:30pm
So nice you can view it twice! The first NWS WALLCAST of 2016 was a soggy affair. Thankfully, it’s being screened again this Saturday. The killer program features Michael Tilson Thomas on podium and pianist Emanuel Ax on the ivories. The Fellows will be in attendance too, so come meet the folks who will appear on screen. Just pray the weather holds and bring a blanket…
Wednesday, January 11
Gardens by Moonlight – Vizcaya Village Edition, 6-9pm
Vizcaya is turning 100 and to celebrate they are opening up the nearby Vizcaya Village to the public. The event will feature all kinds of activations, storytelling by Vizcaya staff, food trucks and performances by many Buskerfest alumni. Don’t miss this unique opportunity! Tickets are $20 for the general public and $6 for kids. See you there!
