We’re back after spending last week in Kentucky and taking in the epic solar eclipse. Not gonna lie, we kind of miss those cool 60 degree nights, especially as the Indian Summer period descends on the 305. Our AC might be on the fritz, but the Magic City is firing on all cylinders. Here is a smattering of fun times this weekend worth your while:

Friday, September 1

Spam Allstars Virgopalooza, Son and Daughters Farm and Winery, 7PM

OK, maybe we are missing the Kentucky countryside more than I let on above, but come on, Miami’s ambassadors of electronic latin funk at a FARM with WINE?! This must cost like $50 bucks. Nope, it looks like tickets are just $10, which means plenty of cash money leftover for some sweet grape juice. Make the short drive up to Lake Worth for a memorable night (or not depending on your level of intoxication) and do your best robot dance with new friends.

Saturday, September 2

Ball & Chain Music Festival, Sept. 1-3

Look no further than Ball & Chain this weekend for a proper introduction to some of Miami’s best bands. Their pineapple stage is programmed each day from 12pm – 3am, so be sure to get a good night’s sleep cause you ain’t going home once you’re in the door. You can look forward to performances by Palo!, Spam (of course), Aaron Lebos, Electric Piquete, Electric Kif and literally, like, 95 other groups. Guess how much it costs to get in: $0. Duh!

Sunday, September 3rd

Tequila Bay Country Music Festival, Miami Marine Stadium Park, 11AM

Well, we are now waiting for like 2 friggin years for Game of Thrones to return, so we guess you can check out this Country Music Fest instead. In all honesty, we have no idea who any of the performers are, but the unique combination of contemporary country, BBQ, oceans of tequila and the Miami Marine Stadium seems like a recipe for good trouble. Tickets are a wee bit on the pricey side (starting at $55), but you saved money all weekend by following our other recommendations. You should still have plenty of scratch!

That’s it for an otherwise quiet Labor Day weekend. We suggest you pack a picnic and hit the beach on Monday because once we come back from the long weekend, the nine month Miami winter sprint begins. Training wheels are coming off, y’all.

Much Love,

The Buskerfest Team
