The 6th Annual Buskerfest Miami Street Performance Festival takes place in Downtown Miami on Friday, December 14th. From 4-7pm, local musicians, theater groups, comedians, acrobats, dancers and more will be showcasing their talents at ground level of select Metromover Inner Loop stations and satellite locations, including the Alfred Dupont Building, Sparky’s Roadside Barbecue and Miami Center for Architecture and Design. The Comedy Corner by Comic Cure returns for the 3rd year to bring laughter to the streets! Starting at 6pm take a look back at Miami’s past and enjoy archival footage presented by the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives on the big screen at Tina Hills.  At 7 pm, all attendees and performers convene in Bayfront Park for the Buskextravaganza, a concentrated showcase of local performers with more interactive dance and circus acts than ever before including, Dangerfun, Les Ailes Du Desir, Fire Circus, Hema Sharma and Salsa Timba! The wrap-up party begins at 8pm at the Tina Hills Pavilion in Bayfront Park, featuring the sun-drenched, garage rock of SunGhosts with an opening set by Live! Modern School of Music.

 

The event is FREE for attendees and offers a unique opportunity to meet the local performance community and revel in the diversity of Miami’s culture. Attendees can pick up a Buskerfest passport at any stop to track their travels, select their favorite act of the night, enter a raffle and cash in on deals and discounts offered by downtown businesses, restaurants and bars.
