Greetings Buskerfans!

As we look forward to cooler climes and the (hopefully) quiet end to hurricane season, the Buskerfest Miami family gathers together to plot for the December festival. Things are shaping up nicely. We are in the midst of planning our annual open mic tour in which we visit all of Miami’s longtime bastions of free expression (here’s looking at you Speakfridays, Words and Wine, Artistic Vibes, Luna Star Cafe, Churchill’s etc. etc.) to mine for the truly special gems of the arts community. We are in deep talks with mastermind Fabio Perez of Twentyone Creative to decide just the right hue of blue (or red) to capture the spirit of this year in our graphic design. We’ve been developing an even closer collaboration with Miami Dade Transit, which will augment our performer locations with new surprises. We are also plotting some co-promotions with the awesome Baygrass Bluegrass Festival in Islamorada. All of this and it’s only SEPTEMBER!

Miami Soul Train

Since things are already firing on all cylinders, we wanted to invite you to join us, past Buskerfest performers and new friends at the Wynwood Yard onThursday, September 15th. That night, we will formally open artist registration and volunteer sign-up through this very website and officially announce the date of the Buskerfest Miami 2016 Street Performance Festival.

Are you excited yet? Yeah, thought so.

Full details for the launch party are over on Facebook. It’s a free event, so bring the whole family. We may even have some spontaneous performances. After all, it’s what we do.

Much Love,

The Buskerfest Team
