Not only does this year’s festival provide plenty of live performances, we have some other fun activities for you to enjoy including:

Wolfson-Archive-logo

A Blast From 305’s Past – Starting at 6pm take a look back at Miami’s past and enjoy archival footage presented by the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives on the big screen at Tina Hills.

Children’s Corner at Bayfront Park presented by Miami Children’s Museum –  Enjoy an abundance of vibrant, interactive story readings, performances, crafts and activities at the Children’s Corner on the Bayfront Park promenade. The Museum’s Theater Troupe will make your favorite storybook characters burst off the page straight to the stage, introduce educational concepts, take you on wild and wacky adventures and have you singing and dancing.

4:00PM Green Eggs and Ham

 

Do you like green eggs and ham?  Whether you do or not, this adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ most popular book will have you non-stop laughing, as Sam persists and persists and persists you try his green eggs and ham.
4:30PM Dance party

 

Dance like no-one is watching! Whether you are a child or a child at heart, like our Theater Troupe come groove, let yourself go, move to the music and get your heart pumping.
5:00PM Musical Story Time

 

What’s better than reading books? Singing, chanting and dancing to books! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The Paper Dolls, Ain’t Gonna Paint No More, and Listen to the Rain never sound the same after the kids have sung and played instruments to these tales.
5:30PM Not A Box

 

A cardboard box, is NOT a cardboard box.  It’s a race car, a mountain and even a space rocket.  Use your imagination and transform ordinary cardboard boxes into the extraordinary during our performance adaptation of Antoinette Portis’ picture story book Not A Box.
6:00PM Alina Celeste

 

Join Alina and sing and dance along to her irresistible blend of folk songs for kids from the Caribbean, Latin America and her catchy original tunes!
6:30PM Piggie and Gerald

 

Our favorite Mo Willems duo, Elephant and Piggie are brought to life in this medley of stories, including Watch Me Throw A Ball, Listen To My Trumpet, We Are In A Play and more.
7:00PM I Got The Rhythm

 

Who’s got the rhythm?  I Got The Rhythm. Sing, snap, clap, tip, tap to the rhythm of this fun upbeat story by Connie Schofield-Morrison and join us for explorations of music, instruments and beats.
7:30PM Not A Box
